Before the Universe, there was a Sanctuary
In 2024, burnt out by the corporate world and navigating the silent weight of burnout, I didn’t want to build an empire. I just wanted to build a safe room.
I dreamed of Moca & Miau: a greenhouse café where food was nourishment, yoga was medicine, and cats were the guardians. I needed a place where the noise of the world couldn't reach me.
That dream became the seed for everything that followed. It taught me that we cannot heal in sterile environments. We need soil, soul, and safety.

Luma was born from the simplest magic: curiosity wrapped in kindness. While others chase grand quests, Luma chases moments of wonder: a firefly held in cupped hands, a laugh that brightens a room, the quiet glow that appears when someone finally feels seen. She is small, but her light is steady. Luma’s gift is noticing. She pays attention to the things others overlook, and she believes every child carries a spark worth protecting, understanding, and celebrating.
Her home, the Willowgrove, is built on that belief. Our mission is simple: growing up should never mean dimming down. Luma helps children explore their feelings, ask brave questions, and learn the rhythms that make belonging possible. She teaches through play, delight, and the steady glow of presence. And with the support of her Willowgrove siblings, she believes in the power of change.
Luma’s light isn’t about fixing; it’s about reminding every heart that it was never broken. That is our vision: embrace every spark—small, strange, bright—and help nurture its roots so each child can shine with authenticity, courage, and belonging. Luma’s Light Fund helps us bring this mission to life through child-centered resources, community workshops, emotional-literacy tools, accessible learning materials, support for families, and community initiatives that nurture belonging.
